According to the "iron lady" herself, it was this nutritional option that helped her stay in perfect shape for many years, hence the name of the diet: Margaret's abbreviated name.

The most important condition for Maggi's successful weight loss is strict adherence to the menu: you can exclude this or that product from it, but you cannot change them.

This diet is also called an "egg" because its followers eat a lot of eggs, but there are plenty of other protein foods in it. Thatcher himself said he eats about thirty chicken eggs a week. In my opinion, that’s a lot, so we’re not going to overdo it and balance the menu so that none of the recommended products cause disgust.
Its effectiveness in "stressful" carbohydrate reduction, in which, however, we will not starve to death because it is pleasant to eat fruit, meat, dairy products.

Another secret to the diet described is that food istaken strictly at the same time each day, whether it’s a day off or a weekday. If you sit down to have breakfast five days a week, say nine in the morning, stick to it the other day. The amount eaten is exactly the same as the amount shown in the menu. Nothing complicated here: no calorie counting, no hunger strike. But dedication and perseverance are not unnecessary here.

Contraindications to the Maggi diet

  • Gastrointestinal disorders.
  • Pressure is too low or too high.
  • Breastfeeding mothers during pregnancy.
  • Allergic, provided the allergen is in one of the recommended foods: be it eggs, citrus fruits or cow protein.

If there is a "breakdown", you will need to start the diet again.
As with any other diet, I recommend exercising in the gym and taking long walks, drinking lots of water: this is necessary for muscle tone, to speed up metabolism, and then you will not only get rid of your boredom, but that too. you will be the owner of a sports figure and strong immunity.

Initial weight plays a huge role: the more extra pounds, the more they will pay each week. And vice versa: if you want to lose about 5 pounds, it will take about two to three weeks, but losing weight will not be sudden and dangerous to your health, and due to its gradual decline and regular sports activities, there will be no "extra" skin that sometimes seems even less aesthetic, like excess fat.

Those who persevered for a month until the end of "Maggi" (with a high initial weight) could get rid of fifteen or even twenty pounds. Since this is a very dramatic weight loss, I would advise you to stick to your diet once a year, for example to lose weight in the summer. Competent "quitting" from any diet is also very important: if after a while you return to your previous sedentary lifestyle and improper diet, your pounds will return and "bring friends with you. "If you follow a few simple "exit" rules, not only will the weight not return, it will decrease a little more.

So the way out of the Maggi diet:

  • One of the options, he is the best, the most effective and the most correct - is to go straight to the right diet. Adherence to all rules. Then you can forget about being overweight forever.
  • Avoid drinking alcohol
  • The second optionis ​​to continue eating your diet. One or more - it doesn't matter. For example, you can still consume grapefruits, tangerines, cottage cheese. Add them to your menu for at least a few more weeks and the weight will remain at the same level.
  • And the third option:start following the diet according to the "Minus 60" weight loss system. But for the next fourteen days after our weight loss marathon, you should be limited to the use of sweets and the harmful effects.

Let me remind you that alcohol must, of course, becompletely eliminated.

This diet belongs to the "chemical": a certain combination of foods causes chemical processes in the body that actively burn the available fat.

We completely exclude all baked goods, pasta, cereals, potatoes from the menu - these are carbohydrates, they do not allow the body to start using fat. Of course, we exclude fatty meat.

Below is a one-month menu that I put together based on personal experience, I lost 9 pounds in twenty-eight days, even though I don’t have much overweight. Buy a kitchen scale and do not deviate from the weight of the finished food I have indicated. If the weight is not on the menu, the food can be consumed in any quantity.

Maggi Diet menu for 4 weeks

For the first fourteen days we have breakfast with a couple of boiled eggs and half a large citrus.

First week.

Lunch: the fruits listed below.
Dinner: fried, cooked, fried white meat, 250 grams.

Day 2

Lunch: Up to 2 boiled eggs, water-cooked vegetables such as green peas (mashed), legumes, pumpkins, carrots. Only 250 grams.
Dinner: boiled fish, 250 grams. The salad is the same as in previous days, today is 150 grams. Grapefruit.

Day 6
Lunch: fruits. Whichever you want.
Dinner: stewed meat, 200 grams. A pink tomato.

Day 7
Lunch: diet meat, 250 grams, with cooked vegetables, which you can eat only 150 grams. Medium grapefruit.
Dinner: boiled or steamed carrots, zucchini, green peas. 150 grams.

second week.

Day 1
Lunch: Meat, cooked as desired, 250 grams. The same salad, 200 grams.
Dinner: two boiled eggs, one grapefruit.

Day 2Lunch: 200 grams of boiled chicken breast, 200 grams of cucumbers, tomatoes, pepper salad.

Lunch: any part of the chicken in any cooking option, 250 grams. Two tomatoes, one orange. Dinner: a large citrus, cooked meat 150 grams, cooked green peas 50 grams.

third week.

Introducing more vegetables and fruits this week. We eat them all day, at regular intervals.

Day 1
Fruit in any quantity.

Day 2
Vegetables. No matter how much you want, there is no need to overcome hunger. If he wanted to eat a kilogram of apples, they ate it. Cooked vegetables or salads.

Day 3
Vegetables and fruits. Salads, stew whatever they want.

Day 4
Vitamin salad (cabbage, cucumber, carrot), 250 grams of cooked white chicken. Boil vegetables.

We eat food for the last week whenever we want and in the amount you personally need, but we strictly adhere to what type of food to consume on a given day, it is not worth exchanging products at our discretion, even similar ones.

Day 1
200 grams of cooked chicken breast, cucumber and tomato salad 600 grams of pomelo or grapefruit with a little croutons.

Day 2
200 grams of meat cooked in salted water with croutons, if desired a fruit, 600 grams of salad with cucumbers and tomatoes.

Day 3
Salad: cucumbers and tomatoes, today 300 grams. A citrus, croutons, 150 grams of steamed vegetables, 150 grams of low-fat cottage cheese.

Day 4
A large chicken breast, cucumber-tomato salad: 150 grams, a citrus.

Day 5
Two tomatoes, an iceberg leaf, a citrus and of course an egg.

Day 6
300 grams of cooked chicken fillet, about a hundred grams of low-fat cottage cheese, a croutons, cucumber, 200 ml of 0, 1% kefir, a citrus.

Day 7
200 grams of fish, just not fat. Prepared as you like. Already familiar salad: cucumbers and tomatoes, only 300 grams, a croutons, a citrus.

Quitting the diet has been mentioned above, now more about the nuances of cooking: salt and other natural spices, onions, garlic can be added to foods. All salads are not dressed with anything, everything is cooked hot without oils and other fats. The products can be cooked in a double boiler, so they perfectly retain their useful properties.

Permitted vegetables include:zucchini, carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes, beans, peas, eggplant. No potatoes and corn!

Fruit: everything except bananas, grapes, mangoes, dried fruits. Add the citrus fruits.

You should completely eliminate cereals and pasta.

Remember not to drink water or tea with meals, this should be done between meals without the addition of sugar, honey and other sweets. You can replace sugar.

  • For the first 1-2 weeks after your diet, try to eat the foods you consumed during the Maggi diet.
  • Also stop sweet, fatty, floury and spicy foods 1-2 weeks after your diet.
  • Drink as much water as you would during the Maggi diet.
  • Try not to eat three to four hours before bedtime.
